IRELAND | International Trade Mission

Are you a Scottish business looking to grow your international trade activity?
As part of the Scottish Government’s programme supported by the Scottish Chambers of Commerce, Inverness Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce, is leading an in-person Trade Mission to Ireland from 11 to 14 November 2024.
An inclusive, well-connected and stable business landscape makes Ireland an attractive environment for Scottish companies to do business. In recent years, Dublin has experienced major growth in sectors including food and drink, life science, energy, finance and business services and has a lot to offer Scottish businesses. The city has attracted 50% of Ireland’s Foreign Direct Investment, and over the past two decades 48% jobs were created due to foreign investors.
Ireland is an important trading partner for the UK underpinned by a longstanding history of robust trade. Currently Ireland is the UK’s 3rd largest export market, with a total of £57.6 billion pounds worth of exports recorded in Q3 of 2023.

About the Mission:
- - The mission is in-person, taking place over 4 days.
- - Delegates will receive an information pack prior to the mission, outlining the agenda and market research.
- - Take part in a range of workshops to learn about doing business in Ireland, including market awareness session.
- - There will be a networking event to facilitate further connections between Scotland and Ireland.
- - Each company will receive a minimum of two 1:1 B2B meetings with potential partners in Ireland based on your goals and ambitions.
- - To participate in this mission, there will be a non-refundable registration fee of £150 + VAT once applications have been approved. Costs and booking relating to flights, accommodation, insurance etc are to be covered by delegates themselves.
Criteria:
- - Open to any company in Scotland looking to grow their international trade activity in Ireland with a turnover less than £7million.
- - This is a cross-sector trade mission.
- - Companies do not need to be a member of a Chamber of Commerce.
