The team at strategic engagement consultancy, StrategyStory came home smiling from the recent Womens’ Enterprise Scotland awards in Glasgow having scooped the gong for ‘Business to Watch of the Year’.
The awards celebrate Scotland's finest women-led businesses across the country, shining a spotlight on the innovation, resilience and impact of female entrepreneurs.
StrategyStory co-founder, Kate Hooper has made it her mission to share the oral storytelling traditions of the region, as well as the art of strategic communications with companies across the globe. As a result, StrategyStory helps businesses learn how to better connect with their audiences to drive results, whether that’s customers or staff.
“For me the award is brilliant recognition of the value of storytelling to drive meaning and connection between people. It’s so important that we keep these traditions going in a world that is increasingly driven by tech, remote-working and change.
“Often companies spend a great deal of their communications budgets on marketing for their external audiences. Of course, that is important, however there is also an internal communication need, and we’re delighted that our bespoke and cutting edge methods to drive strategic engagement inside companies has been recognised by this award.
“StrategyStory is pioneering new ways for people to connect in this modern era. Human connection is the key to driving progress for businesses while ensuring that they feel like good places to work. Storytelling is the way to drive that connection,” explained Kate.
The StrategyStory team is comprised of journalists, film-makers, producers and strategists from across the region. The company works with businesses and communities locally, nationally and internationally, helping people and organisations share their stories to realise their ambitions and develop their team cultures.
Carolyn Currie, CEO of Women’s Enterprise Scotland, commented: “StrategyStory’s success in the Business to Watch category reflects the drive and determination that the team has to overcome challenges and grow a successful, forward-thinking business with huge potential.”
“Huge congratulations to all the finalists and winners of the Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards 2024. These women are exactly the role models we need to inspire our next generation of business leaders. Their determination to achieve their goals is greatly admired by us all.”
