SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY!
We caught up
with
Morag Martin, owner of Ceamara Photography

What inspired you to start your small business?
I started my small photography business because I’m passionate about capturing meaningful moments and turning them into lasting memories for others. I basically get to freeze time. What better job in the world?

What’s the story behind your business name?
My business name is always a funny one. Everyone always asks me how to pronounce it (its see – am – ara) it is the Gaelic word for Camera. I really wanted something that tied the business back to a personal love and that’s Scotland so wanted as Scottish a name as possible. The logo is also based on a Celtic Knot for the same reason.

How has being a small business shaped the way you approach customer relationships?
Being a small business has made me prioritise, attentive customer service. I focus on building genuine connections and tailoring every experience to meet my clients unique needs.

What’s one thing you wish more people knew about the products or services you offer?
I wish more people knew how much thought and care goes into every shot and edit – each photo is crafted to tell you unique story and preserve moments that matter most.

What’s a typical day like for you as a small business owner?
As a small Business owner no two days are the same! Some days I’m out on location, other days I’m editing photos, planning projects, or connecting with clients. Every day is a new adventure, which keeps it exciting and rewarding.

What does being part of the small business community mean to you?
Being part of the small business community means supporting and uplifting one another. Its about collaboration, shared growth and building meaningful connections with people who value passion and creativity.
