Sarah Medcraf Joins Scottish Chambers of Commerce Board of Directors, Celebrating 10 Years as CEO of Moray Chamber

Sarah Medcraf, Chief Executive Officer of Moray Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce (SCC). Her appointment comes as part of SCC's strategic initiative to strengthen its leadership, ensuring that the voices of businesses across Scotland are heard at a crucial time for the nation's economy.
Sarah, who has led the Moray Chamber for almost the past decade, has a distinguished track record of fostering economic growth and advocating for local businesses. She also chairs the Moray Economic Partnership and Moray’s Town Centres Task Force, where her contributions are instrumental in shaping regional economic policies and strategies.
Commenting on her new role, Sarah said, "I am deeply honoured to have been appointed to the Board of SCC. This is a proud moment for me personally as I approach ten years with the Moray Chamber of Commerce in early 2025. I look forward to contributing to the strategic direction of SCC and working alongside my esteemed colleagues to drive forward initiatives that support and grow businesses across Scotland."
SCC President Stephen Leckie welcomed Sarah’s appointment, noting, "At a critical time for businesses in Scotland, it's essential that we bring together experienced and dynamic leaders like Sarah to help drive economic growth and ensure that business voices are heard at both UK and Scottish government levels."
Liz Cameron, Chief Executive of the SCC, added, "Sarah brings a wealth of experience from her years in leadership at Moray Chamber. Her dedication to supporting local businesses and driving regional growth will be a tremendous asset to the board."
Sarah joins the Board with four further new Directors - Lindsay McGranaghan, Senior Vice President, CGI, Chris Lynch, Trade & Supply Chain Finance Director, Santander Corporate Banking and Head of Commercial Trade Finance Origination, Stuart Broster, founder and managing director of SDPN, and Joanna Campbell, Principal and CEO of Dumfries and Galloway College.
This appointment highlights Moray's growing influence in the national business landscape. As a key figure in the region, Sarah’s involvement in the SCC Board will ensure that Moray’s business community continues to have a strong voice on the national stage.
