Conservative Government Pledges £65 Million to Tackle UK Sick Note Culture
NHS data indicates that a staggering 11 million fit notes were issued in 2023 alone. The government views this as part of Britain’s ‘sick note culture,’ with Rishi Sunak suggesting benefits have become a ‘lifestyle choice’ for some workers, resulting in a ‘spiralling’ welfare bill.
