New Leadership on Moray Chamber of Commerce Board

Moray Chamber of Commerce’s members have warmly welcomed Kirsty Dagnan into her new appointment as President.

The appointment was approved at the AGM, which was held The Stotfield Hotel, Lossiemouth, on Tuesday 31st January, where Ewen Mackintosh was appointed Vice President.

Kirsty takes over the role of President from Alex Johnston of Ava Innes, Elgin as he steps down after three years in role having led Moray Chamber of Commerce through the pandemic. Kirsty is Site Leader for William Grant & Sons and is responsible for the operation of the Dufftown site. Kirsty lives in Dufftown with her husband and son and has been a Director of Moray Chamber of Commerce since early 2020.

At the AGM, Kirsty expressed her thanks to the Chamber staff past and present and advised she looks forward to working with Moray Chamber of Commerce - “I am delighted to continue to support Moray Chamber of commerce and to take on the role of president. The Chamber team do a fantastic job in supporting all businesses in Moray, together we will continue to grow.”

Kirsty also encouraged all members to get in touch with the Chamber staff or Board members on any Chamber matters and confirmed that her door is always open.

Sean Donnelly, Northern Asbestos, Raymond More, Robertson and Shan Saba, Brightwork Recruitment were all appointed as Directors at the AGM. A full list of Moray Chamber’s Directors can be found on its website or on Companies House.

I, and the rest of the team, now welcome Kirsty and are excited to see how we can continue to grow and sustain the Chamber through engagement and collaboration, for the benefit of our members. Kirsty & Ewen’s experience and expertise is well placed as leaders of the Board to ensure we are delivering for the business community.”

Moray Chamber works to contribute positively to the Moray economy by representing its members’ interests, engaging with businesses of all types and lobbying locally and nationally to address business concerns.
