Moray’s communities urged to take part in m.connect roll-out talks

Communities across Moray are being encourage to get involved with the continued roll-out of the region’s on-demand bus service, m.connect.

A series of in-person drop-in sessions are taking part in Hopeman, Burghead, Lossiemouth, Elgin, Forres, Kinloss and Lhanbryde throughout March and the m.connect team welcome anyone currently using the service or who would like to use the service to come along and share their views.

Discussions will include experience of existing bus services in the area; what needs improved; what the ideal type of bus service would be and what days, times and how often these services should run.

Chair of Moray Council’s Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee, Cllr Marc Macrae, said: “These engagement sessions are open to the whole community to get involved and we’re relying on locals to help shape public bus services that link communities to employment, educational and leisure facilities better.”

Drop-in sessions take place on the following dates and locations:

Tuesday 19 March: 10.30am-12.30pm Hopeman Memorial Hall

Tuesday 19 March: 2pm-6pm Burghead Community Hall

Wednesday 20 March: 10am-12pm Lossiemouth Community Centre

Wednesday 20 March: 2pm-4pm Elgin Community Centre

Thursday 21 March: 2pm-4pm Findhorn Village Centre

Friday 22 March: 10am-12pm Lhanbryde Community Hall

Tuesday 26 March: 9.30am-11.30am Kinloss Village Hall

Tuesday 26 March: 6pm-8pm Lossiemouth Community Centre

Wednesday 27 March: 2pm-4pm Elgin Library

Thursday 28 March: 9am-12pm Forres Community Centre
