This year's AGM was kindly hosted in the excellent events hall at
Baxters Highland Village on 23rd Jan 2019. The event gathered together over 20 members old and new to hear about 2018's achievements, and plans for 2019 from the teams here at Moray Chamber (Sarah Medcraf), DYW Moray (Sarah Medcraf) and Moray Speyside Tourism (Laurie Piper).
Highlights covered include the Chamber's biggest Annual Dinner yet, with 320 business guests from across the area, a 25% increase in employer engagement from the DYW Moray team and a 31.9% increase in economic impact since 2011 from tourism activity.
A number of rotations, re-elections and new members to the council were elected - to see the most up to date list of council members,

Sarah Medcraf informed the audience of 2018's successes, including a re-brand and a series of well attended events. Plans for 2019 focus on strengthening and growing on this success, incorporating plans to launch our Premier Partner package.
Laurie Piper then outlined plans to get the much needed Tourism BID over the line in 2019, to allow Moray Speyside Tourism to continue delivering huge economic impact to the area via tourism activity.
The audience also heard about great progress from the DYW Moray team, with plans to further enhance their offering with increased focus on primary school engagement and work to raise the profile of valuable work experience opportunities for young people during the course of 2019.
If you were unable to attend this year's AGM, but would like further information on the updates provided at the event, please feel free to contact the relevant team member.
