About AM Employment Law
AM Employment Law is a small, specialist employment law practice, looking for a part-time Legal Administrator to provide secretarial and administration support to it's two employment solicitors. Some time in the Elgin office may be required, but hybrid or fully remote working is available.

The Role
- Part-time, around 15 hours per week. Around 9 am-12 pm, Monday to Friday, but this can be flexible
- Hourly rate will depend on qualifications and experience
- General administration support to two solicitors including drafting letters and basic legal documents, answering phone calls, preparing and issuing client engagement letters and invoices via case management software, maintaining client details
- Speaking with new clients on the telephone and taking detailed notes for passing to the solicitors
- Contact with existing clients and third parties (including other solicitors, Acas, Employment Tribunal) on administrative matters
- Taking minutes of client meetings
- Transcribing recordings of client internal meetings
- Email and diary management
- Drafting social media posts and images
- Responding to new client queries via social media
- Scanning/shredding paper files (where needed, we generally operate a paperless office)
- Preparation of training materials
- Scope to have more involvement with legal work, depending on interest and experienc
The Candidate
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team
- Organised with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative to assist the solicitors in keeping on top of multiple client tasks and deadlines
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Above all, the Team want the candidate to fit in with the ethos of the company and share the friendly, relaxed but professional approach to providing clients with the advice they need
