Latest HIE Business Panel Survey Findings

Findings from the latest HIE Business Panel survey (undertaken in February/March 2023) have been published. The full report and summary findings are available to download here
This was the 24th survey commissioned by HIE since 2014, and the sixth in collaboration with South of Scotland Enterprise. Together, the findings provide a unique and robust evidence base for Scotland’s rural economy.
As well as tracking business confidence, performance, optimism and viability the 20-minute telephone survey sought to understand key concerns for businesses and changing market focus. It also took a detailed look at aspects of net zero, including the actions businesses are taking to measure, monitor and reduce carbon emissions, and the support they need to do so.
