Commenting on the vote to approve expansion at Heathrow Airport, Liz Cameron OBE, Director & Chief Executive of Scottish Chambers of Commerce said:
“The UK Parliament’s green light for Heathrow expansion is the right decision for our economy and an important enabler in promoting Scotland as an outward-looking nation open for business.
“Keeping up this momentum and moving ahead with the next phase of expansion is key to boosting business confidence and increasing our trading alliances across the world.
“As the expansion project moves ahead, it is critical that Heathrow meets its commitments to Scotland, making sure that Scotland sees the full benefits of Heathrow expansion, including the establishment of a Scottish logistics hub, supply chain opportunities and increased access to global trading routes.”
