EIGHT LANDS APPOINTS EXPERIENCED INDUSTRY EXECUTIVE AS COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR

Eight Lands, the award-winning organic vodka and gin from Speyside, has appointed seasoned drinks industry executive Jose Sedano to the newly created role of Commercial Director. Jose will work closely with the brand’s Founders to drive growth both domestically and internationally.

With over 30 years’ experience in the drinks industry, Jose has built an international career in a wide variety of markets in such diverse roles as Finance Director, Area Director and Commercial Director for Allied Domecq and later as Commercial Director and Managing Director for Spain and Portugal with Diageo. More recently he was responsible for the Wines & Spirits business unit at Grupo Osborne, a 6th generation family company in Spain, and latterly as International Development Director at Puerto de Indias, where he oversaw significant growth of the gin brand across key export markets.

Eight Lands is a multi-award-winning vodka and gin, launched in June 2019 by the father and stepson team of Alasdair Locke and Alex Christou. The products are made with only organic ingredients and Scottish spring water, and distilled and bottled at the family-owned Glenrinnes Distillery in Speyside. The area, renowned for its pristine Scottish spring water, is home to famous single malt distilleries such as Macallan, Balvenie and Glenfarclas, and considered to be the world’s leading region for luxury spirit production, all rooted in the rich, natural landscape.
