Business assistance through student projects
University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) is looking for organisations to participate in student projects for their BA (Hons) Music Business course. This dynamic course provides students with the experience and knowledge to gain a career in the music business. Benefitting from being involved in real opportunities and developing strong industry links, the course helps them to prepare for working in various sectors of the music industries e.g. working in event/festival management, music conference management, digital marketing and with record labels and arts organisations.
Creative Project 2, (3rd Year). Duration of project 10 weeks approx. in semester 2, January – April 2023.
Examples of Creative Project concepts could be, but are not limited to:
- Music festival/events programme
- Record label
- Artist management
- Tour management
- PR agency
- Publishing/sync agency
Professional Development 2, (4th Year). Duration of project 40 hours approx. in semester 2, January – April 2023.
Examples of Professional Development 2 placements or freelance projects could be, but are not limited to:
• Live music promotion work
• Sync agency or music publishing
• Artist management
• Record label
• Event management
• Digital marketing and social media campaign management
This a fantastic opportunity to gain some valuable assistance, and at the same time, enhance the students’ educational experience, providing a valuable insight into the contemporary music industries.
