BILL ROBERTSON RECEIVES NEW YEAR HONOUR

Congratulations to William 'Bill' Robertson, executive chairman of Robertson Group who was named on the New Year Honour list.
Mr Robertson, who was already a CBE, and now Sir Bill, has been knighted for services to the construction industry and to charity in Scotland. He formed Robertson Group in Elgin in 1966 as a joinery business, with his brother Bobby the sole employee. The company now employs more than 3200 people and turns over millions of pounds every year.
Sarah Medcraf commented; “As many will know, Sir Bill Robertson founded the Chamber over 20 years ago, so we are thrilled of the news of his knighthood. Robertson has grown to an extraordinary construction company over the last 50 years with Moray still holding a special place in its heart. We send our congratulations to Sir Bill.”
