Please name the main purpose of your business.
We are an independent economic development consultancy that supports the design, development and delivery of projects which promote sustainable economic growth. This includes services such as business planning, economic impact assessments and feasibility studies. Much of our work is to help our client secure funding and/or planning.
What are the benefits to operating in Moray?
We enjoy working in Moray, recently this has included supporting Parklands Care Homes assess their economic value and helping Portgordon Community Trust assess the feasibility of acquiring the local harbour. We always think the ‘can do’ attitude in the North and North East is refreshing, as well as the friendliness and willingness of our clients to work collaboratively on projects which make a change to the community.
How do you connect to your local customers?
Usually through word of mouth, sometimes through tenders and ideally through repeat business.
Why are you part of Moray Chamber of Commerce?
We’re looking to do a lot more in Moray, as well as Aberdeen City and Shire and across to Inverness. Ideally, more of our work will come from this beautiful part of the country.
What are you most proud of?
It’s always good to see projects obtain funding and planning, especially after the hard work that has gone into developing projects which help deliver community aspirations and create jobs, prosperity and general well-being. We’re also proud when clients come back to us on new studies.
Finally, name one misconception that people have about your business.
Very often we get asked about interest rates and the state of the economy, although interested, we prefer microeconomics rather than macroeconomics – and hopefully more Morayonomics in the future.
