Mabbett is a full-service planning, design, environment, engineering and safety consultancy. We are committed to the provision of tailored, leading-edge technical professional services with a focus on helping our clients to “See a Difference”. Our team support clients through the planning process; deliver innovative design solutions; and accelerate their Net Zero goals. We save clients money; reduce their risk; and enable compliance. Core capabilities include:
• Planning: we offer a ‘complete solution’ whether you are planning a new development or require on-site technical specialists to assist throughout construction and operation. In house capabilities include air and noise assessments; drainage and flood risk; ecology, and land management.
• Design: Whether your objective is a new development, refurbishment, expanding production, our team of architects, mechanical, electrical and process engineers can get you there.
• Environment: supporting organisations to be compliant with environmental obligations and reducing business risk to enhance their sustainability.
• Engineering: develop and deliver engineering solutions to enable organisations to become compliant, save money and implement good practice.
• Safety: supporting organisations to be compliant with health & safety obligations and reducing business risk.
• Training: delivering high quality environmental and health & safety training to include IOSH and IEMA approved to develop staff within organisations.

What are the benefits to operating in Moray?
Mabbett opened an office in the Horizon Scotland Business and Innovation Centre, Forres to be more local to existing clients but in addition, to support geographic expansion east into Moray and core market sectors distilling and space sectors to add to a growing client base in these industries.

How do you connect to your local customers?
We pride ourselves in our proactive approach to client management; taking every opportunity to meet with clients (and potential new clients) face to face to include meetings, networking events and exhibitions and conferences. We also have a company LinkedIn profile which keeps clients/contacts and our Team up to date with company news as well as service capabilities, upcoming training courses, and changes to regulatory frameworks.

We also have a Mabbett Volunteer Pledge providing each and every Mabbett employee with a full day of paid volunteering leave per year to allow them to Make a Difference in their own community.

Why are you part of Moray Chamber of Commerce?
Mabbett have been established for over 25 years and a key part of our success is attributed to developing close working relationships with local stakeholders to include Chambers of Commerce. The Chamber events in particular, allow the opportunity to raise awareness of Mabbett, meet fellow members and identify synergies / project opportunities as well as keep local knowledge current.

What are you most proud of?
We are incredibly proud of our team, our greatest asset. We have a multi disciplined team of over 100 technical professionals to include architects, planners, consultants, engineers and scientists who deliver tailored services and training, and implement solutions so our clients “see a difference.” In turn during the last 25 years, we have retained and grown our client base through repeat business, cross sells and referrals.

Finally, name one misconception that people have about your business.
We don’t know Moray, but we do. Our local Teams (offices in Forres as well as Inverness) have extensive knowledge, experience and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities working in Moray presents across many Business Sectors.
