Please name the main purpose of your business.
Jillian Watt Coaching provides personal development and leadership coaching for professionals. Having a personal coach is hugely beneficial, and can make the difference to a client’s personal or professional life. It’s like having an independent professional friend. I offer bespoke coaching for leaders, future leaders, individuals and teams. I’m passionate about great leadership and emotional intelligence is at the heart of my coaching. It’s a vital element for successful leadership and business success in today’s complex working world. I provide tools, strategies and coaching, enabling clients to navigate complex issues, transitions, relationships and confidence issues with ease and empathy, which will help cultivate trust, respect, and credibility driving their business from a place of genuine leadership.

What are the benefits to operating in Moray?
I moved back to the area after 20 years working in Glasgow for a change of life and to be able to enjoy the stunning countryside and hills. It also feels right to give back to the local community. There are some great thriving businesses here and I’m really looking forward to helping business leaders achieve even greater success and growth to boost the local economy and have fun doing it.

How do you connect to your local customers?
Networking, word of mouth and social media mainly. Of course, it’s far easier to run a virtual business nowadays but meeting face-to-face helps build a deeper understanding and stronger rapport with clients and their challenges.

Why are you part of Moray Chamber of Commerce?
I needed to meet local businesses and find someone who knew how my services could support and benefit the local business landscape. I’d heard such good things about Sarah and Aimee and the work they do, so it was an obvious move. I’ve been used to working with a large team, so I’m looking forward to meeting other business owners and leaders to build an exciting new network of like-minded people.

What are you most proud of?
I’ve had a great career so far, and I’m incredibly proud of the growth results I’ve achieved in association with the people I’ve worked with worldwide. Together, we’ve won lot’s of awards and launched many successful products in the UK and globally, while growing the business exponentially and genuinely making a difference to people’s lives. I get such a buzz from success, as well as developing, growing, and empowering people to help them achieve the same. It’s a great feeling and makes me very happy!

Finally, name one misconception that people have about your business.
Many people don’t think they “need” coaching. As a senior leader, I was one of them! But hand on heart I have to say it was a game changer. Of all my clients, 100% have said they wish they had known about it sooner, as the benefits, value, efficacy, and impact of coaching are significant.
