H & M Designs Ltd
September 2022
We caught up with Hayley Kessack from H & M Designs for an insight in to their business.
Please name the main purpose of your business.
What initially started as a hobby has now turned in to a full-blown business. We can supply clothing for individuals or for businesses within any professional sector and are able to supply school clothes too. We believe in being able to offer clothing at an affordable price to cater for all. We also provide a personalisation service whether that be; vinyl printing or embroidering.
What are the benefits to operating in Moray?
Living in Moray all my life has given me the ideal base, which is central to Aberdeen and Inverness. This allows us to be a one stop shop and being able to provide an office base location for potential customers to visit us and see what we have to offer.
How do you connect to your local customers?
We are active via social media, advertise within a local free magazine that reaches over 21,000 homes and word of mouth is a great way to connect to people. The service we provide is very personal to us and it’s all about customers out there trying us and then recommending the services we provide to others.
Why are you part of Moray Chamber of Commerce?
As a relatively new business we joined Moray Chamber to widen our business networking potential and be able to showcase to others what we do. We wanted assistance from the Chamber in spreading the word about what we can offer individuals and the business community, and their help has been invaluable.
What are you most proud of?
Having started the business from a what was initially a part time hobby and making it a family run business with my partner Mike.
Finally, name one misconception that people have about your business.
Some people think that we only do embroidery but that’s not the case we can supply the clothing and see it through to the end product.
